What Frequency Are Your Choices Made From?

Frequency and Vibrational Awareness

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”
Nikola Tesla

Have you ever wondered about the energy behind the choices you make? Not just what you decide—but the frequency that fuels that decision?

In this reflection, I explore how our awareness of energy—whether in stillness or in action—can shift how we live and connect. Drawing from my own Reiki journey, I want to open up a conversation about presence, resonance, and the healing power of energy.

Everything Is Energy

Take a moment now. Breathe. Notice what you’re feeling right now in your body.

Everything is energy. By energy, I mean vibrational frequency—unconfined, without direction or limits. It’s not bound by time or space. Energy simply is: everywhere, all at once.

Yet we often build walls around ourselves. We follow old programmes of fear or habit that keep us ‘in our place.’ But really, there are no separate places. There’s only one big, interwoven field of energy—and we’re all part of it, constantly interacting and influencing one another.

Everyday Connection (and Saying Hello to the Spider)

Here’s the thing: recognising our connection doesn’t have to be ‘out there’ or overly mystical. For me, it shows up in very ordinary moments.

If I spot an insect wandering through the house, I’ll often say hello (yes, my friends think I’ve officially lost it). It’s not that I want a spider living in my bathroom, but I do respect that it’s part of the same world I am. It has its own little purpose and rhythm. Somehow, acknowledging that feels right—it’s a small reminder that we share this space.

The same goes for nature. I’ve always loved mountains—climbed a few well-known ones in my time—and now that I live among them, I feel their energy every day. There’s something about their solid, grounded presence that reminds me how steady and ancient the Earth’s vibration really is. When I look up at them, I feel both tiny and deeply connected all at once. It’s humbling, comforting, and a bit magical (in the most natural way possible).

We don’t have to try to be connected—it’s already happening. The trees, the rivers, even the chair you’re sitting on are all part of that same energetic flow. It’s life expressing itself in endless forms.

Returning to Love

I try—most days—to move through life from a space of love, the most powerful frequency of all. To make decisions from my heart as well as my head.

It’s not always easy. I still fall into old patterns of judgement (of myself and others), frustration, or fear. I suspect I’m not alone! But each time I notice it, I get the chance to return—to choose again. And that’s the beauty of it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes it’s two steps forward, one step back—but it’s still movement. Still growth.

Stillness as Connection

One of the biggest lessons Reiki keeps teaching me is that stillness isn’t the absence of energy. Stillness is energy.

When we pause—when we rest, breathe, or sit quietly—we’re not stepping away from life, we’re stepping into it. Stillness is where we tune in to the subtler frequencies: our intuition, our emotions, the quiet hum of life itself.

Energy healing isn’t always about doing or fixing. It’s about listening, about being, about remembering that we’re already part of something vast and alive. When we connect in that way, we start to make higher-frequency choices—ones rooted in love rather than fear.

A Gentle Reminder

My Reiki practice keeps bringing me back to this truth: energy is always present. Stillness carries power. And the choices we make ripple outward in ways we might never see.

If these reflections stir something in you—a curiosity, a quiet knowing—follow that thread. Explore your own connection to self, energy, and stillness.

Because it’s not always about learning something new.
Sometimes, it’s about remembering what you already know.
